Blurb
When everything you love is in danger, how long can you keep running to survive?
Life can be brutal
Winter in Idaho. The sky is dark. It is cold enough to crack bones.
Jack knew it
Jack Dahl has nothing left. Except his younger brother, Matty, who he’d die for. Their mother is gone, and their funds are quickly dwindling. Jack needs to make a choice: lose his brother to foster care, or find the drug money that sent his father to prison.
So did I
Ava lives in isolation, a life of silence. For seventeen years her father, a merciless man, has controlled her fate. He has taught her to love no one.
Did I feed the flutter of wings when Jack and I met? Did I sense the coming tornado?
But now Ava wants to break the rules – to let Jack in and open her heart. The she discovers that Jack and her father are stalking the same money, and suddenly Ava is faced with a terrible choice: remain silent or speak out and help the brothers survive.
Looking back, I think I did…
Now I said this yesterday but I was the same with this book where do you start to review it or even how?
Jack is a young man who after witnessing such a tragic effect, needs to grow up even faster than he was already growing as somebody needs to take care of his younger brother Matty or he will be taken into care. With their little funds already pretty much gone, Jack needs to find the place where his Father stashed the money from a deal that went sour and landed him in prison. With his father not revealling where, and the mastermind behind the deal Bardem also looking for the money the hunt is on. Bardem is not a guy you want to mess with and he hates Jack’s family.
Ava meets Jack at school, a moment passes between the two and I would like to think it was a fate with a little helping hand that brings the two together.
Normally when I’m reading a book for a blog tour I have a page full of scribbled little notes etc, I won’t lie for this one I didn’t have much. I became so absorbed in reading and the writing style that I lost all track of my surroundings and time. The short snappy chapters and whole writing style makes it seem like a fast read. It pulls you in and you just loose yourself amongst the pages.
At times it makes for some tense reading, it’s hard hitting and quite an emotional journey to go on. For being a debit novel it makes me very excited to see what is next for Cory because What Beauty there is showcases some pretty beautiful and emotional writing.
A beautiful read that blew me away a little and left me reeling when it ended.

Great review!
